Charlie’s FreeWheels is a program that takes youth through the process of learning basic bicycle mechanics and safety by assembling their own bike. Through a combination of hands-on practice, cooperative work, discussion and mentoring, the program’s participants focus on the repair of one bicycle each that, upon the project’s completion, will belong to him or her.

Hockey Education Reaching Out Society (HEROS) takes place at Moss Park Arena and involves children from many schools in Regent Park. HEROS is a charitable organization dedicated to empowering children through ice hockey. The organization works with girls and boys in socio-economically challenged neighborhoods that otherwise might not have an opportunity to play organized hockey. Volunteers assist with helping kids to put on equipment properly and assist on ice with development of skating and hockey skills.

Regent Park South Community Centre is a City of Toronto facility located at 203 Sackville Green. RPSCC is a priority centre, which means all the programs offered in the facility are free of charge to City of Toronto residents. Our facility consists of a large gymnasium, weight room, computer room, games room, youth lounge, community hall, and several small multi-purpose rooms. We offer recreational programming for children, youth and adults, as well as having a Youth Outreach Worker, (YOW) on site.

Regent Park Aquatic Centre (RPAC) is the newest development in the Toronto/East York District. This stand alone aquatic facility is located in the heart of Regent Park and features a Lap Pool, Leisure Pool, Warm Water Pool, Tarzan Rope, Diving Board and Water Slide. Our universal changerooms allow for full accessibility for all patrons. Our programs accommodate participants from preschoolers to older adults. This centre is easily accessible by transit, bike, and foot.
